student Pinhole Photography
Ms. Elder's Fourth grade class had the opportunity of working with visiting artist Heather Kippenberger (Miss Kippy) to create camera obscuras out of shoeboxes and take photos in the Leap area. The students used this art as a process to study how light reflects and travels. Miss Kippy then took the photographic paper home to develop. What emerged from our camera obscuras were paper negatives. She then scanned them in to the computer to create the positive inverse. The results were fantastic.
