Mrs. Johnson started the class out by playing a game of Bipity Bopity Bop(era). This got the students pumped for the lesson and helped them effectively review Opera Vocabulary.

I can see everyone's commitment in planning and performing through these pictures. You can tell each student is invested.

Making the tableaux was one of my favorite parts about our opera study! I love to make them in general, but this one really seemed to stand out.

I really enjoyed this because it makes me remember all the great things we did with "Rusalka". My personal favorite part of this blog post was the picture of these ladies doing their tableau. I could easily tell what was going and I am very excited to see more.

I like how whenever we make a tableaux, everyone will do the work. We get to decide what scene our group wants to do and we also choose who would play which part. We had limited time to talk with our group. If you were doing the scene where Rusalka went to Jezibaba to be turned into a human, your group would decide if you wanted a Prince, Rusalka, Jezibaba, a hut, or even rocks or chairs. I like making tableaux because you can do anything you want with a "frozen picture".
